Guided Mountain ascents
For our New Zealand alpinism activities, the Southern Alps offer
mountaineering challenges second to none, providing a great taste
of wilderness. Climb Mt Cook, Mt Tasman or Mt Aspiring with the
safety and comfort of our alpine guides. For our private ascents
program.. the list is endless.

Lower down in the forest and meadows we run guided hiking, tramping,
trekking and walks.
Skiing and Snow Board Touring Sept./Oct. 2012
Come NZ late winter we specialize in back country ski touring and
offer a back country enthusiast avalanche course. Experience the
back country outside the ski resort boundaries on skis or boards.
Discover the glaciated wilderness of the Alps. Learn some avalanche
skills to travel safely in snow and ice. Sept./Oct. are the best
months for ski touring either for your private team or our scheduled
tours are for individuals keen to share cost and adventure.
Wanaka is the base of Alpinism & Ski, a perfect
location to start your alpine climbing adventures. In Europe during
June, July and August, we operate out of the charming Swiss village
of Leysin, only a short drive from Chamonix and Mont Blanc and/or
Italy to enjoy the excellent climbing and infrastructure that Europe
provides.
