Guided
Climbing in Europe
Discover the magnificent Swiss, French and Italian Alps by
joining us on a guided alpine climbing adventure during the European
summer.
About Guided Climbing in Europe
July and August each year, we enjoy the finest climbing in the
Alps of Europe, based in Leysin, Switzerland. Leysin is centrally
located and a perfect start to many great climbing options.
Gary's alpine climbing experience and knowledge of the Swiss, Italian
and French Alps (since 1997) maximizes YOUR guided climbing adventure.
He can offer you a variety of fantastic climbing options in Europe
to match your experience, skills and ambitions. Be it on snowy classics
or exposed granite ridges, from the Swiss Bernese Oberland with
Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau to the Mont Blanc range in France
and the Gran Paradiso in Italy, the climbing playground is huge
and fabulous.
How to organize your Guided Climbing Trip in Europe
On your own or with a climbing buddy, we offer week long trips
on classic easy and moderate peaks on a 1:2 ratio and more demanding
mountaineering on a 1:1 ratio. If you plan a guided climbing trip
in Europe, contact us early to book your week. We offer a selection
of itineraries to choose from according to weather and conditions
and will assist you to put together a memorable climbing adventure.
When not guiding privately, Gary works as a long serving team member
of the International School of Mountaineering (ISM). If you are
looking to join up with a group of like minded alpinists, check
out their program or talk to us about guided alpine climbing or
a mountaineering instruction
course that is most suited to you.
Whether it's with Alpinism & Ski or through ISM, we only offer
quality guided mountain climbing experiences and we look forward
to helping you achieve your dream of a peak bagging week.

Clients on Guided Climbing trips in Europe say:
'Dear Gary and Iris,
Just a quick note to once again say 'thank you' for another life-expanding
adventure. By my count our "three 4000m peaks and a huge three-wire
bridge" week in Switzerland was the seventh trip (in NZ and
Switzerland) I've done with the noted firm of Alpinism & Ski
- which says something about my appetite for punishment and comfort-zone
expansion, and your amazing ability to make your clients suck up
the hard stuff, stifle the whimpers and then keep coming back for
more. You guys are the best. Many thanks.'
